Our cabin is nestled in the White Mountains of Arizona, surrounded by abundant outdoor beauty and the charm of all four seasons. It’s the perfect retreat for those who love nature, hiking, and experiencing the changing landscapes throughout the year.
We’ve invested in a security system and cameras to keep an eye on our second home when we’re away. Safety is a top priority for us, and as a fun bonus, we occasionally catch glimpses of wildlife wandering through the property—making the cameras almost like a virtual nature watch!
Deciding how much time to spend in one location can be a bit of a puzzle. Like most travelers, we want to get the most out of our adventures, and we’ve found a good rhythm is about one week per month. It gives us enough time to explore, relax, and really soak in the experience without feeling rushed.
Our cabin enjoys the full beauty of all four seasons, which means a little planning goes a long way. From shorts and t-shirts in the summer to jeans and boots in the winter, we always make sure to pack for the changing weather so we can enjoy every season to the fullest.
One of our favorite parts of visiting the White Mountains is catching up with the locals who live there year-round.
