quantum of the Seas Ship Review
We sailed aboard Quantum of the Seas on an Ensenada & Catalina Island itinerary and thoroughly enjoyed our experience over the Thanksgiving holiday. As the first ship in Royal Caribbean's innovative Quantum Class, Quantum combines cutting-edge attractions, excellent dining, and world-class entertainment with a modern design that still feels fresh today. Whether you're cruising to Mexico, Alaska, or beyond, Quantum offers something for cruisers of every age.
Dining
Dining was one of the highlights of our cruise. We enjoyed several complimentary venues, including the Main Dining Room and Solarium Bistro, where both the food quality and service were consistently excellent.
For specialty dining, we especially enjoyed Chops Grille for its perfectly prepared steaks and attentive service, while Jamie's Italian delivered delicious Italian favorites in a relaxed atmosphere. Throughout the cruise, we also appreciated the variety of casual grab-and-go options available around the ship, making it easy to find a quick bite between activities.
No matter where we chose to dine, the food quality consistently exceeded our expectations. With so many options available, every meal felt different, and we never found ourselves getting bored with the selection.
Cabins
We stayed in a Balcony Stateroom and a Junior Suite, each provided a comfortable home away from home throughout the cruise. The cabins offered plenty of storage, a functional layout, and a private balcony where we enjoyed morning coffee, sailaways, and beautiful sunsets.
Entertainment
Quantum of the Seas offers an outstanding entertainment lineup. We enjoyed Broadway-style productions in the Royal Theater, live music throughout the ship, comedians, game shows, and themed parties (80's night) that kept the energy high every evening.
One of the signature experiences onboard is Two70®, where panoramic ocean views transform into an incredible multimedia theater featuring live performers, robotics, and stunning visual effects. It's one of the most unique entertainment venues at sea and a must-see during your cruise.
Pools
Quantum offers a variety of pool experiences for every type of cruiser. The adults-only Solarium is a peaceful retreat with beautiful ocean views, while the outdoor family pool is perfect for relaxing or cooling off on warm sea days.
Guests looking for more excitement can also enjoy the FlowRider® surf simulator, making the pool deck a fun destination for both spectators and participants.
Spa
The Vitality Spa is a wonderful place to unwind after a busy day exploring Mexico. The spa offers massages, facials, salon services, and a relaxing thermal suite. The staff was friendly and professional, and the facilities were clean and well maintained. During our cruise, we also enjoyed visiting the salon, where the service was excellent.
Bars
Quantum of the Seas offers a fantastic variety of bars and lounges, each with its own unique atmosphere. We enjoyed grabbing a drink at the Schooner Bar while listening to live piano music, relaxing in The Pub with its welcoming neighborhood feel and selection of beers and cocktails, and watching the robotic bartenders in action at the Bionic Bar. We also spent time at Vintages, perfect for a glass of wine, and loved unwinding with a drink in Two70, where the floor-to-ceiling windows provide incredible ocean views.
Whether you're looking for live entertainment, a casual pub atmosphere, craft cocktails, or a quiet place to relax, Quantum of the Seas has a bar or lounge to match every mood.
